Do I Complain?

Etwog00
This expression is so copious in our blood, that it’s impossible to stay quiet without articulating this word. We have poles apart means and ways of complaining about. Although God has accomplished impossible possible in our lives, despite the fact somewhere down the lane human tendency is to always grumble over the whole lot . There are set of people who Squawk as soon as they wake up from their bed. And some who murmur on and on, and to other there is no contentment at all, whatever one does. Complain is so rampant and integral to them, which they do it without fail prior to closing their eyes or else night would go sleepless for them . My question to you is “if God does miracles and wonders in your life would you still protest to God or take it as a God’s will and press on.” I see a similar group of people who kept complaining to God again and again in spite of what God has done to them. They were disappointing God every time they resented about. I want to spotlight about the 3 complains made by the people of Israel, when God rescued them from Egyptian slavery.

1st Complain (Exodus 14:10-13) Crossing the red sea
When the Egyptian army was pursing the Israelites before crossing the red sea. Vrs 2-4 God reveals His sketch to the Israelites about how he is going to embark upon the Egyptian armed force, but then in Vrs 11 they whine to Moses about being annihilated by the Egyptian array. Sometimes in our lives too when we implore and get an affirmation from God, from our church pastor or evangelist ,we get energized about it but when the circumstances starts getting closure day by day, the dread is permitted to cross the threshold of our hearts. This is what exactly happened with the people of God, God revealed His plan and wanted the Egyptian army to be acquainted with his divinity of being Lord. However , the Israelites complained to Moses in a very discreet manner Vrs 11 “was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die ?” Therefore, always remember if God has brought you far, thus he would be dependable till the finish.

2nd Complain (Exodus 15:23) Water issue
God had done a great miracle which stands out as an astonishing marvel in the book of Exodus crossing the red sea. After roving for 3 days in the desert without water they reach a point and find ,the water to be bitter. It could be seen , again people grumble against Moses. I wonder you might be assessing , if you where at the place of Israelites you would have never grumbled. Praise God for if you did so, but I want you to reflect how many times you have cursed your life, and said to God why your live is like this? What is my purpose of living? I find no hope in life; my life is ineffectual in spite of God doing many extra -ordinary miracles in your life. He might have saved you from a dreadful accident or a sickness. Perhaps like the Israelites we fall short to comprehend God and start being petulant.

3rd Complain (Exodus 16:3-5) Food issue
Again looking at the Israelites complaining about food and their tactful way of saying in vrs 4 in Egypt we sat and ate meat and all we wanted, but now we are starving to death. After reading all the 3 complains it exhibits they were putting God’s patience to analysis. Sometimes we also act in the above manner. Above all the bottom line what I would like to share is ,Don’t complain if you know you are in God’s will. If God has rescued you from a situation or a predicament or from a company whatsoever, you may get excited at that particular time but as we face challenges let’s not criticize to God and tell Him if we were in that old situation we would have been happier. I am sure if the Israelites where under the Egyptian slavery they could have never enjoyed the freedom they now have at the promised land.

The BIG Question Mark can I or Can I not ?

CAN_IOne of the motivating factor that puts us into a big Question mark is about trusting God. A  Christly walk is a sturdy walk though the fundamentals are very undemanding. There is a Sunday school song which goes likewise " if Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm" but the BIG query is whether you can in actuality convict Him if you have a genuine storm coming up on the way.

Perhaps the situation  would rather be like you are on zenith of a mountain holding the clef of a tree and God says-“If you trust me let go your hand”, The fact being nobody would love to be in that tremendous situation but what if this happens? What would be your pronouncement?

When we Meditate on this verse from Matthew 6:23,"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" It points about unquestioning trust on God not on yearly prerequisite, monthly or weekly but speaks of daily and immediate ones. Here we need to focus if God promises to provide  food to mere birds who could feel the hunger at any point irrespective of time. For him we are much more than rest of his creations so he ensures that our needs are met at its best.  When we put our trust in God He would take care of our wants every moment. It is cushy to converse with reference to trust but once if we put our trust on almighty we would see impossible shaping in to reality leaving no space for doubt but trust me it really works.

When we read about Elijah, how God feeds him through raven a bird similar to crow (meaning of raven- to consume greedily; devour) a bird that is known for  stealing  others food and God uses that same bird to provide food for Elijah because he put his trust on God. The point I want to put forward is that when God can go to such an extend just to provide food for you .Just think he is capable of doing much more for us.

When we look In to the story of David. He did not have futuristic armaments to exterminate the colossal Goliath but God made a way by placing the  stones near the river for him to win the confrontation. The interesting thing to be noted here is until and unless we don't take a step of faith we would never be able to explore the resources which  God has kept in place for us. David didn't get the stones from his field or from Kings palace but it was only after having talks with Goliath that he found the stones perhaps David’s weapon to win over Goliath lying on the river side. Its motivating to note how God works. If God says leave your job and I will give you a better job, we say Lord let that offer come to me first and then I will,.We tend to have a backup plan  with God, its all about a step of faith which is followed by stairs and God works wonders if we make that move.

My last consideration would be from Abraham when he was all  set to slaughter Isaac  and all of a sudden he finds a lamb to be substituted. If you could just imagine the scenario of  killing his own son that too his only begotten son , its more or less  like God telling you if you trust me come and stand in the middle of a highway road. But God wanted to check his step of faith as Abraham was climbing on one side of the mountain, God could have made the lamb walk on the other side. Every step you take by faith, God alongside bestows his  blessings  to climb on the other side of your mountain. Once you reach the top, God makes certain that the blessing are added to your life.

All we need to do is to make sure and keep ourselves on alert to listen to his voice and take a step of faith .God would provide the food, the stones, the lamb and may you keep ascertaining God's blessing in your life.

When my understanding fails me...

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; (Prov 3:5)images

As i was  in the presence of  the Almighty praying  about the circumstances around  and the endowment that  I need to cleric among the people, a tranquil  voice whispered “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding”. Which further  made me to reflect about this enduring verses, what precisely  God was  trying to say, and with his  tenderness  got a beautiful revelation. God said – “ when you come to a point where your not in a position to incline on your understanding that is  where you could start trusting me with all your heart. In other words you endeavour your best to use insight and the knowledge that you possess. Once you come to a level where  things are beyond  your reasoning it is then , I want you to credence me with all your hearts.” He says with all your hearts without perplexity.

This is what happened with the Israelite army when they were facing colossal Goliath. The army strived their paramount they could do, all their strategy and blue prints but still they could not succeed at all. Then came to a point where they could not skew to their understanding, their diplomacy and thoughts. Where as David comes trusting the Lord with all his heart and not leaning on his understanding and overthrows the giant. You might be going through a tough instance such as this. You possibly would  have tried all your ways and methods but  lost complete hope. You not only used your understanding but others indulgence  too but to see all  in vain. But today God is telling you  to just rely on  him and lean not your own understanding but on him .For God says  my ways are higher than your ways, my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. God will give you the competence to conquer the goliath of your life and annihilate
him with his sword just as David did. You just got to trust him.

Once you triumph over the situation , your mind would enunciate to you saying this is  what I actually thought !! or this was the substitute plan i had. Tell your mind I don’t trust your understanding, I gave you the time but you repudiated  me but now I trust God’s mind with all my heart because He has ways higher than you, His thoughts are way higher than you can imagine..

God bless you and keep trusting the Lord
