Do I Complain?
This expression is so copious in our blood, that it’s impossible to stay quiet without articulating this word. We have poles apart means and ways of complaining about. Although God has accomplished impossible possible in our lives, despite the fact somewhere down the lane human tendency is to always grumble over the whole lot . There are set of people who Squawk as soon as they wake up from their bed. And some who murmur on and on, and to other there is no contentment at all, whatever one does. Complain is so rampant and integral to them, which they do it without fail prior to closing their eyes or else night would go sleepless for them . My question to you is “if God does miracles and wonders in your life would you still protest to God or take it as a God’s will and press on.” I see a similar group of people who kept complaining to God again and again in spite of what God has done to them. They were disappointing God every time they resented about. I want to spotlight about the 3 complains made by the people of Israel, when God rescued them from Egyptian slavery.
1st Complain (Exodus 14:10-13) Crossing the red sea
When the Egyptian army was pursing the Israelites before crossing the red sea. Vrs 2-4 God reveals His sketch to the Israelites about how he is going to embark upon the Egyptian armed force, but then in Vrs 11 they whine to Moses about being annihilated by the Egyptian array. Sometimes in our lives too when we implore and get an affirmation from God, from our church pastor or evangelist ,we get energized about it but when the circumstances starts getting closure day by day, the dread is permitted to cross the threshold of our hearts. This is what exactly happened with the people of God, God revealed His plan and wanted the Egyptian army to be acquainted with his divinity of being Lord. However , the Israelites complained to Moses in a very discreet manner Vrs 11 “was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die ?” Therefore, always remember if God has brought you far, thus he would be dependable till the finish.
2nd Complain (Exodus 15:23) Water issue
God had done a great miracle which stands out as an astonishing marvel in the book of Exodus crossing the red sea. After roving for 3 days in the desert without water they reach a point and find ,the water to be bitter. It could be seen , again people grumble against Moses. I wonder you might be assessing , if you where at the place of Israelites you would have never grumbled. Praise God for if you did so, but I want you to reflect how many times you have cursed your life, and said to God why your live is like this? What is my purpose of living? I find no hope in life; my life is ineffectual in spite of God doing many extra -ordinary miracles in your life. He might have saved you from a dreadful accident or a sickness. Perhaps like the Israelites we fall short to comprehend God and start being petulant.
3rd Complain (Exodus 16:3-5) Food issue
Again looking at the Israelites complaining about food and their tactful way of saying in vrs 4 in Egypt we sat and ate meat and all we wanted, but now we are starving to death. After reading all the 3 complains it exhibits they were putting God’s patience to analysis. Sometimes we also act in the above manner. Above all the bottom line what I would like to share is ,Don’t complain if you know you are in God’s will. If God has rescued you from a situation or a predicament or from a company whatsoever, you may get excited at that particular time but as we face challenges let’s not criticize to God and tell Him if we were in that old situation we would have been happier. I am sure if the Israelites where under the Egyptian slavery they could have never enjoyed the freedom they now have at the promised land.
